Apple of a thought
It really does pay to put yourself in the shoes of the other people. Only when you know a person's thoughts, their actions is quickly justified. Only then can we achieve the utopian society we all desire- a world full of understanding and compromise. But everyone is a selfish person, no matter how selfless you may be, there is that niggling desire we all secretly crave for. And that is what makes us human. A person's character is heavily influenced by the people they meet and also how they were brought up. "Two-Gun" Crowley, one of America's most wanted serial killer held this quote he wrote in his final stand-off, "Under my coat is a weary heart but a kind one- one that would do nobody any harm". And it struck me that even in the most heinous of beings, we all have feelings and justifications. If we were in the shoes of Crowley, then perhaps even we would have acted the same way, killing in cold blood. It could be his bad childhood or family. It could be his friends or his loneliness. Even Al Capone the infamous American gangster views himself as righteous, helping those who needed help the most.
And then, there is this really flawed idea of conformity. When you see someone different, it breaks the cycle of conformity and you start to question yourself. Who is wrong? Like the apple you see there. (cute huh) If everyone were to conform to just being happy and civilised, then its like living in a dream. Nothing is real. There are many things we want in our life, I admit I have many desires too, but only when we put ourselves in other peoples shoes do we truly understand their actions. We have to understand that everyone is like the apple with a paper stuck on its face. (okay, yes its so cute) They are conforming to normality and only when you know their true actual intention, the hidden apple, are you able to comprehend what character the person really is.
Accepting change can be hard. So how does it feel like if you were the one to change and others around you are affected. I have been a very, very bad boy and like everyone else, I am here to put things right through the only way possible-to change myself. Forgive me for I have wronged many people and thats the price you pay to conform to the people around you.
