Lessons in life
To all the juniors taking their GCE 'A' Level result tomorrow, fret not, it will be over soon, your results have been fated to be a long time ago. Take it with a pinch of salt and be mindful of the people around you. At the end of the day, it really isnt about the results, so do not think that the outcome tomorrow can take you steps ahead of others. Be humble and thank all those that have taken you this far. Nevertheless, it is best to all that we learn from every single events whether good or bad and take it that God wants us to continue living another day and to be a better person.Whatever that has happened I know and we know that "God has a bigger plan for me than I have for myself". That is the first lesson I would like to share. Many things have happened in the way that I would not have liked to happen such as losing a dear friend but I would take it as part of God's beautiful artwork of fate.
All things happen for a reason. Good things will come to an end and the bad things will also come to an end. "Verily, the future will be better than the present", a quote from the Quranic verse Ad-Duha. People come and go and they change whether for the better or for the worse. As imperfect human beings, we are gifted or plagued with this ability to think and make our own judgements as well as assumptions. And few are truly blessed with the ability to do good no matter what the circumstances is. And even fewer spread good in terms of generosity and kindness in the upmost just way despite being in a loss or stand to gain nothing. These people, I applaud and salute and I try my best to emulate and those who doubt their sincerity or spread nothing but scorn and jealousy, may God forgive you and repent, for repentance is the first step to true happiness. "Our prime purpose in this life is to help others. And if you cant help them, at least dont hurt them". - Dalai Lama.
The one thing I learn in the short span of two years is that invisible tears are the hardest to wipe. Nothing in life comes easy and the harder the things we truly in our heart wants, the fruit of success is even greater. So be patient and take every excruciating emotional pain as a guide to emerge a stronger person. For this, I would like to thank the numerous people out there who have made me a more stronger person and may the lessons you have imparted be a blessing to you too. The faces I see every day, the jokes and laughters, the smiles and chatter, is nothing but the surface of things. I have learned that the coolest and calmest of all people are truly the ones who are in desperate need of help. The happiest of all people are the ones who goes home, broken and helpless. There are people out there who indulge in imperfect happiness or delve into things they wish would make them happy or seem happy but are really in need of a real, sincere and warm hand. In our hearts, we know what is best for us, we do. And the only way to achieve true happiness is to open up and graciously accept help that comes. Tears are words that the heart cant say. You may let that invisible tear fall down your face but know that there are people out there who would truly want to catch those tears for you without getting anything back in return. Hence, the lesson I would like to impart here is this, "Never judge a person. You never know what storm she has been through. Doesn't mean she acts like nothing is wrong, maybe she is just really good at lying."
Finally before I conclude, there is one more lesson that I think is worth remembering. "One of the hardest parts of life is deciding whether to walk away or try harder". I am not a prophet that is able to be perfect so I make mistakes. Out of fear or anger. Of mistrust or revenge. Of spite or sadness. But at the end of the way, my dear readers, the best of all human beings are those who forgive first and yes, repent. As much as possible, every night on my prayer mat, I would seek forgiveness from God and pray that the people I have hurt or cause pain would forgive me as I have had forgiven everyone else. The journey is long and there are yet to be even harder challenges out there that are meant to test your resilience and strength. Just know that somewhere out there, there are people who needs the help more than you. Be that person who reaches out to those that need and not be weak and expect others to pick yourself up. May peace be upon you:)
