The tale of Solo Bird

Once upon a time in a land where birds ruled the sky was a young goose. Day by day when the wind was right, she was called by the Head Goose to fly with the flock in search of greener pastures. She would oblige at first and followed the flock in a perfectly ordered formation and raced the entire sky, awed by the crowds of pigeons and crows below. Yet, she felt somehow odd and just felt like she could not fit in. You see, the other geese as they flew, they had an air of arrogance with them, as if taunting to the birds below that they were elitist,  the untouchables. While they flew with their beaks proudly up and wings wide open, the young goose could only imitate them helplessly and wished that they could at least ask the pigeons and crows what they thought of the geese.
"No way! We do not mix with the wild multitude! Birds of the same feather flock together. That has been the way of life since the first Ancient One", the Head Bird said. The young goose knew that it was all wrong so one day, he flew off alone in search of answers she needed to hear. And boy did she learn the greatest lesson of all. When she flew the skies, for the first time, she felt the wind blowing under her wings and the breeze coursing along her beaks. Her feathers ruffled and she felt... free! Far away, she could see her own flock and realised that only the Head Goose at the front could have felt this privelege. She realised that some goose needed other geese to make him/her feel better but truly if one looks hard enough, the world can be a better place if you believe in yourself. And the goose flew off in the horizon, living her way of life happily ever after:) The end.
